Home/About

IQ.wiki is the world's leading authority on blockchain knowledge and education.

Our mission:

We turn the complexity of blockchain into clear, structured knowledge—covering every asset, founder, and protocol in one place.

Our mission is to make blockchain knowledge trustworthy, accessible, and open to everyone. Powered by SOPHIA, our AI editor, IQ.wiki keeps the world's blockchain encyclopedia accurate, current, and growing.

Accuracy here is just as structural as it is editorial. Every article version is recorded on the Polygon blockchain. Pages and images are stored on IPFS– open, permanent, and verifiable by anyone, at any time. Permanence and openness are built into the foundation.

Core Principles

that drive everything we build...

Bringing Blockchain to the World

The most comprehensive blockchain and crypto knowledge base in the world provides users with thousands of wikis on everything from Bitcoin, NFTs, DAOs and so much more.

Powered by the IQ Token

The IQ token is the utility token that powers the encyclopedia. It enables staking, governance, and incentivizes contributions to the platform.

Democratic Governance

IQ.wiki is fully Web3 with IQ token stakers governing and moderating the platform through a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).

On-chain Transparency

Every edit is recorded on the Polygon blockchain. Pages and images are stored on IPFS– open, permanent, and verifiable by anyone, at any time.

AI-powered Intelligence

Powered by SOPHIA, our AI editor, IQ.wiki uses artificial intelligence to scale content creation, improve accuracy, and make blockchain knowledge more accessible.

Community Driven

Built by a passionate global community of editors, developers, and crypto enthusiasts who contribute knowledge and help shape the platform.

Our Journey

A Decade of Building and Contributing to the Blockchain Knowledge

2014

Sam Kazemian and Theodor Forselius founded Everipedia at UCLA, with Travis Moore joining as Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer. The platform set out to build a more modern, comprehensive alternative to Wikipedia. IQ began as a non-tradable points system tracking editorial contributions on the platform.

2017

In December 2017, Everipedia announced its plan to become the world's first blockchain encyclopedia, covered exclusively by Wired.

2018

We raised $30 million from Galaxy Digital in February 2018, with coverage from Reuters, Engadget, and Yahoo News. In July, the IQ points system was converted into a live token, with 51% of the total supply airdropped. In August, Everipedia launched as the world's first blockchain encyclopedia.

2020

The team developed OraQles, enabling verified first parties to publish real-world data on-chain. On November 4, 2020, The Associated Press used the technology to publish U.S. election results on Ethereum — the first time a U.S. election was called on the blockchain. The moment was covered by Forbes, CoinDesk, and Nasdaq.

2022

We migrated to the Polygon blockchain and rebranded as IQ.wiki, placing the IQ token at the center of the platform's identity. The rebrand introduced new Web3 features and integrations built for the growing crypto community.

2025

In 2025, IQ went full DeFAI with the launch of the Agent Tokenization Platform and the TypeScript-native Agent Development Kit, enabling tokenized AI agents to act as autonomous economic actors across multiple chains.

2026

In 2026, IQ.wiki is focused on establishing itself as the definitive starting point for Web3 research and education, combining AI-powered tools, structured learning, and live crypto intelligence for everyone from first-time learners to seasoned traders and crypto enthusiasts.
